Project description

The team of researchers from the Colegio de la Frontera Sur (ECOSUR), will seek to demonstrate the relationship between intestinal microbiota and metabolic syndrome in adolescents from marginalized areas of Chiapas.

One of the objectives is to know "how the microorganisms that inhabit the intestine modify the function of genes in the whole organism", Dr. Itandehui Castro, researcher at the Colegio de la Frontera Sur (ECOSUR) in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas.

El equipo de investigadores del Colegio de la Frontera Sur (ECOSUR), buscará demostrar la relación entre la microbiota intestinal y el síndrome metabólico en adolescentes de zonas marginadas de Chiapas.

Uno de los objetivos es conocer "cómo los microorganismos que habitan en el intestino modifican en todo el organismo la función de los genes", Dra. Itandehui Castro, investigadora del Colegio de la Frontera Sur (ECOSUR) en San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas.
