“Gut Microbiota in Human Health and Disease”

Definition

The purpose of the Biocodex Microbiota Foundation 2026 Nordics grant is to support scientific research involving the Gut Microbiota in Human Health and Disease.

Grants

The total amount that will be granted (VAT included and potential overhead included): 

Nordics 40 000 €

Please notice that the grant must be applied to a research institution and may not be paid directly to the researcher. The grants will be awarded to the selected research institutions in Nordic-Baltic countries (Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania)

Application period

The application period for the grant 2026 starts in November 2025. Deadline to submit the application is 28th February 2026.

Candidates

Grant must be applied to a research institution in Nordic-Baltic countries. Applicant can be a young investigator or an advanced degree (MD, PhD) holder i.e. post-doctoral investigators are encouraged to apply.

Selection

Independent Nordic Scientific Committee will review the applications and select the awardees by the end of April 2026.
